Greetings and welcome to the newly-updated Jingle Brawl website! We’re working round-the-clock to get this year’s event ready, and we hope to see you there!
Here’s the quick hits of what to look for at this year’s event, once again working to benefit the Child Life Program at HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital:
- Tournaments: Jingle Brawl mainstay Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS will be our flagship tournament again this year, sponsored by Press Start Games in Appleton. Mario Kart 8 returns this year with new racers and karts in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Switch – our third year of MK8 and our first Switch tournament, sponsored by Game Trade. Also returning this year is Madden NFL 18, the latest edition of the long-running football series, sponsored once again by Green Bay Packers Give Back. We’re also excited to announce two new tournaments – put on your capes and lace up your boots for Injustice 2, the DC Comics superhero fighting game, sponsored this year by new friends Powers Comics. Finally, enjoy fun that’s a little more…analog with our first-ever, casual-friendly Magic: The Gathering tournament, sponsored and presented by Gnome Games.
- Plenty of Side Events: The ever-popular Retro Corner is returning, with NES, SNES, Gamecube, and other games for your perusal. We’ll also have music and motion games for you to play along with, as well as open play throughout the day. Looking for something a little less digital? We’ll be offering tabletop games, ping-pong, pool, and lots more. Plus, there will be plenty of chances to win great prizes all day if your trivia and performance skills are up to snuff!
- Fun for the Whole Family: Enjoy arts and crafts, coloring pages, and more for the little ones – bring home your own Pikachu, or a fun holiday ornament! Jingle Brawl is for kids young and old alike.
- Doctor Carr is Dancing for Your Donations: Last year, Dr. Carr raised $240 in 20 minutes by promising to struggle through several rounds of Dance Central. Undaunted by a lack of rhythm or coordination, he’s doing it again – and might even wear special costumes and bring some friends along if the price is right. Stay tuned…
All this and lots more – we hope to see you on December 2nd!
